# Configure Indexers (Prowlarr)

Prowlarr manages all indexers in one place. Once configured here, they sync automatically to Sonarr and Radarr.

Open Prowlarr at `http://<docker-vm-ip>:9696`.

## Recommended Indexers

Look in the [Indexers](/docs/home-server/media-automation/automation-download/indexers) section for indexer recommendations.

## Add Indexers

Go to **Indexers → Add Indexer**, search for your indexer, and select it.

| Field | Value |
|-------|-------|
| API Key | From your indexers account → Profile → API Key |

Click **Test**, then **Save**.

## Connect Prowlarr to Sonarr

Go to **Settings → Apps → Add Application → Sonarr**:

| Field | Value |
|-------|-------|
| Prowlarr Server | `http://prowlarr:9696` |
| Sonarr Server | `http://sonarr:8989` |
| API Key | From Sonarr → Settings → General |
| Sync Level | Full Sync |

Click **Test** and **Save**.

## Connect Prowlarr to Radarr

Go to **Settings → Apps → Add Application → Radarr**:

| Field | Value |
|-------|-------|
| Prowlarr Server | `http://prowlarr:9696` |
| Radarr Server | `http://radarr:7878` |
| API Key | From Radarr → Settings → General |
| Sync Level | Full Sync |

Click **Test** and **Save**.

## Verify sync

Open Sonarr or Radarr and go to **Settings → Indexers**. You should see NZBGeek and NinjaCentral listed there, synced automatically from Prowlarr.

## Run a test search

In Prowlarr, go to **Search** and run a manual search for a known title. Confirm both indexers return results.

Continue to [Configure Sonarr & Radarr](/docs/home-server/media-automation/installation/configure-sonarr-radarr).
